Which form should I use?+
Studios, networks and production companies can choose Studio Single Production or Studio Multiple Productions (up to six productions). Studio Multiple Productions accepts one studio per submission. SDSA Members and Non-SDSA Members each submit one production, using the designated form.
What should I prepare?+
Prepare the film title, award category, studio, film website, the release date if known, and all credited Set Decorator and Production Designer names and email addresses. Include your submitter and confirmation email details. You may also upload Set Decorator screen credits as a JPG or PNG.
Which films qualify?+
The qualifying period is January 1 through December 31, 2026. Feature films must run at least 40 minutes and meet the AMPAS theatrical-release requirements. A credited Set Decorator is required for Decor/Design categories. Read the complete official Rules & Regulations.
Can I include more than one Set Decorator or Production Designer?+
Yes. Include every credited name, separated with semicolons. Enter the corresponding email addresses in the same order, separated with commas or semicolons. If you do not have an address for someone, enter unknown in that position.
How do attachments work?+
Film submissions accept an optional Set Decorator screen-credit image in JPG or PNG format, up to 5 MB. Files remain private and are available to SDSA staff with the submission.
How do authorization codes work?+
Enter an authorization code only if SDSA provided one, on the Review step, before payment. Depending on the code, it may adjust the fee or let an authorized studio submit with an outstanding invoice.
What happens after I submit?+
Payment is the last step before your submission is complete: review your answers, then pay securely by card. Once payment is confirmed, your submission is complete and the confirmation page offers your submission PDF and payment receipt. A confirmation email with both documents is sent to the address you provided. If an authorization code covers the fee or lets your studio pay by invoice, no card payment is taken and your submission is complete as soon as you submit. This platform tracks submissions and payments; it does not use an approval workflow.
How do test payments and refunds work?+
During testing, pay on the final step of the form with Stripe’s test card 4242 4242 4242 4242, any future expiry date and any three-digit CVC. No real money is charged. Your receipt is available on the confirmation page and is attached to your confirmation email. SDSA administrators can issue and track full test refunds.
How much does entry cost?+
Fees are charged per production, and Studio Multiple Productions is charged for each production it includes. The current test fee is shown on each form before you pay, and SDSA staff can adjust it. The official 2026 rules specify regular fees of $400 per production for studios, $50 for SDSA Members and $300 for Non-SDSA Members; late fees are $450, $75 and $350 per production respectively. The portal remains in test mode until SDSA activates the final fees.
